Robots Rising - ROBO GLOBAL ROBOTICS & AUTOMATION INDEX ETF

I don't normally talk about investments but I find the ROBO GLOBAL ROBOTICS & AUTOMATION INDEX ETF particularly interesting. If you are looking for a new investment it is definitely worth taking a look at it. I have often thought that if there is a risk of robots taking over our jobs we might as well profit from them.

Market Quotes by TradingView
As you can see from the stock ticker this index fund has done extraordinarily well this year. Although considering that this fund covers a relatively small area, it is likely not diverse enough to own alone and does carry significant risk. This fund also has the downside of the expense ratio being a touch high at roughly 0.95%. Dividends are virtually nonexistent at 0.14%. The yield has been unbelievable this year with a YTD of more than 33% at the time of writing this. I believe that all the talk of automation these days has worked to drive the whole sector up.

How you can buy this ETF. Well, one great way is to invest in the Robots Rising fund in the Stash App. I have recently been using Stash and have been really enjoying it. Other options are Vanguard and Etrade. It's best to way the options of cost and convenience when deciding which service to use.

For more information Stash has a nice article on this as well http://learn.stashinvest.com/investment-robots-rising

How to read top e-books and audiobooks for free on iPhone, iPad, android, e-readers and tablets

These days it's easy to get e-books and audiobooks for free, but if you want a top title it's a little bit trickier.

The first thing everyone should get is the Amazon Kindle App. Amazon.com - Read eBooks using the FREE Kindle Reading App on Most Devices. This app is completely free and allows you to access e-books and audio books and included with your Prime Membership is the ability to read many popular titles including the Harry Potter Series.

Not a prime member you can still get free books. Overdrive offers an enormous number of books you can borrow from your local library. They even have a huge number of audiobooks. All you have to do is download the Overdrive app access or visit their website and you can log in with your library card number and can start borrowing titles. If there isn't a copy available you can simply place a hold and it will automatically check the book out. You can either read the books in the Overdrive app or you can use the Kindle apps for some of the books.

No longer are you limited by less popular free books trying to entice you to buy a service. You can even suggest books for your library to obtain on the Overdrive. This is an opportunity nobody who reads e-books or listens to audio books should pass up.

Some of my favorite songs and how I like to listen to music

I have a number of ways I listen to music. Like many people these days I use YouTube as my main on demand music listening service. The convenience and ease of use are key contributors, plus I enjoy being able to watch music videos. If I want an effortless experience such as when I am driving or working. I usually use Pandora. It also has the thrill of not knowing what song will be next, although the limited number of skips in the free version can be annoying. There are a number of other great sources I use for music as well. Many people don't realize that you get access to over 2 million songs and can even list offline with your Amazon Prime membership. They even have a desktop app. Not a prime member yet. Try Amazon Prime 30-Day Free Trial. While it's not Music Unlimited it is still a great free added benefit to prime. If you haven't tried Music Unlimited its free for the first month and gives you access to tens of millions of songs. Try Amazon Music Unlimited 30-Day Free Trial.

Now as promised here are some of my favorite songs.

  1. Let It Go - James Bay
  2. I Won't Give Up - Jason Mraz
  3. Sign of the Times - Harry Styles
  4. Bad Blood - Taylor Swift
  5. Sorry Not Sorry - Demi Lovato
  6. Thumbs - Sabrina Carpenter
These some of the songs I'm listening to now. What songs are you listening to and how do you like to listen to music?

My Last 5 Good E-book Reads

1. The 4-Hour Workweek.
This is a great motivational book. It will teach you how to get yourself in a position to work just 4-hours a week. While such success does not come to everyone who reads this book it is still an awesome read.

2. Countdown to Zero Day.
While not for the faint of heart since this is a somewhat intense read. It's very interesting learning more about this area of cyber warfare.

3. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone
I recently reread this book. It's magical every time. It's especially enjoyable to me since this is where the series starts and lets me enter the world of Harry Potter.

4. Start with Why
Another great motivational book. This book will keep you interested and can help you be successful just by asking why.

5. Superfreakonomics
This book is worth reading if just for the entertainment. Their examples are incredibly amusing and really help to make their points. This book leaves you trying to search for more from them.

Insane iPhone 7 Headphone Jack Mod!

This unbelievable, I am shocked this works. It looks to me that Apple should have been able to fit a headphone jack. It doesn't bother me too much not having a headphone jack, but I know many people who struggle with it. These days I usually carry lightning headphones and there are days I wish I could use them on my laptop.

Great Laptops Under $300

Most people wouldn't consider a $300 laptop worth much. Many of them offer incredible features and still have a great build quality all at reasonable prices.

1. First on any budget laptop list would have to be the HP Stream. It is a great laptop for browsing the web. While it may not be a thousand dollar laptop the build quality is great. The storage is low at 32GB, but is more than sufficient these days with cheap cloud storage.

2. Next on my list would have to be the this Asus laptop. It is quite similar to the HP Stream with a few different features built. Overall, like the stream the build quality is great and it is quite a sleek computer.

3. If you need a slightly larger laptop this computer includes a 15.6 inch touchscreen. The main drawback with this computer is that it has a standard HDD instead of an SSD and it tends to run a little bit hotter and slower than most laptops on this list.
